Most casual football in this city is harder to get into than it should be. You need to know someone already in the WhatsApp group, or pay match fees, or be good enough that nobody groans when you get picked. Ours is not like that, on purpose.
Turn up and you get a game. That is the whole arrangement.
The standard, honestly
Mixed. Some lads are genuinely decent, some are carrying an old knee injury and a lot of enthusiasm. Sides get balanced out so the games stay competitive rather than turning into a rout.
It is competitive in the way five a side should be, which is to say people care for ninety minutes and then forget about it entirely.
What to bring
Trainers or astro boots, whatever you are comfortable in, and a bottle of water. Bibs and balls are sorted. Check the listing for the venue, because we move around the city rather than sticking to one pitch.

How much does it cost to play?
Nothing. There are no match fees and no subs. We are a charity and the pitch is covered.
Do I need to join a team?
No. There is no squad and no commitment. Come when you can, sides are picked on the night.
What standard is it?
Mixed, and sides get balanced so games stay even. Plenty of players have not played properly in years.
What boots do I need?
Trainers or astro boots are fine. Check the listing for the surface if you want to be sure.
